From my garden...
For some reason, I am a little sad that our homegrown website might be coming to its natural end as we move all remote learning to Class Dojo. I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging daily, updating resources, figuring out how to add videos, seeing the "likes" and "views," and knowing that we are doing what we can to stay connected to our Aborn families.
As I mentioned in my ConnectEd message just a few minutes ago, I will continue to blog daily on this platform for now. I will keep the website up as is (except for the Blog), as all NEW resources and communication will run through Class Dojo. If I see numbers dwindling on the number of Blog views, I will have to reevaluate, as my time might be better spent elsewhere. Please keep reading and keep "liking," because I LOVE writing and blogging. It's also a way for me to process all that is happening in this very crazy new reality.
By now, everyone has been invited to Class Dojo. If you have not received an invitation, either by text or email, please reach out to your child's teacher. Email addresses can be found here.
As I write Room 6, Mrs. Gallant has only ONE family left to connect. She is at 94%.
Miss Angus is not far behind with just TWO families left to connect. She is at 88%
Mrs. Rubalcava has FOUR families left to connect. She is at 80%
Mrs. Sheehan is getting there with just SIX families left to connect. She is at 71%.
I would love it if we could reach 80% for the building. I understand that not everyone has technology at home. The district is working on a long-term plan to address the remote learning needs of our families who do not have online capabilities. Teams are being formed and work packets will be forthcoming for those families.
Be well my Aborn Friends.
