Welcome to Day 2 of our new reality! And a Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all! Have you tried to get on our online resources? Have you checked out other schools’ resources? Here’s are some tips:
No need to print anything out if you don’t have that capability. If you have paper and pencils, students can read the passage, the problem, or the math on the screen and do any figuring, brainstorming, or thinking on a piece of paper.Looking for authentic writing assignments? This suggestion comes from Mrs. Hennessey: Write a letter or draw a picture for the elderly who can’t get out at all. Letters could be mailed to our neighborhood nursing home Life Care Center 111 Birch St. Lynn 01904 or if they wanted to drop any off in the church mailbox across the street, Mrs. Hennessey will make sure they get to some of our elderly who aren’t able to receive visitors right now.
Create a video of your childing reading a book. Send me the video and I will try and post it on our Home Learning site. Your child is practicing reading and another child might be able to listen to a story s/he does not have at home. It’s a win-win!
Mostly, just keep your student on as much of a routine as possible. Practice basic, everyday math skills, read and write for different purposes, explore nature for science, and have discussions with your children around the dinner table for social studies. You got this Aborn Families!
Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions about the online resources. In general, emails addresses are:

Be well!

I love Mrs. Hennessey's suggestion! I will write a letter, too. Thinking of you all! Stay well.
