Welcome to Day 6 of our New Normal. I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. As I write, the snow is falling outside. Crazy weather for crazy times.

I wanted to update you on a few changes I have made to this website. Instead of the Zip files originally located in the Grade Level Resources, I have linked you back to the Aborn Remote Learning Page on the Lynn Public School site. That way, everyone has access to the same resources and they are all updated and in one place. I will continue to post "special" resources, Aborn-specific messages, etc., on this site.

If you would like to comment or upload a photo, you can do so in the comments below. I have also created a Google Photo Album button on the Videos and Pictures tab to capture some of you Remote Learning Adventures. Feel free to email me as well.

Last week I walked the beach and (re)discovered these wonderful placards that you will find along Lynn Shore Drive. Click the picture to access the Learning About Lynn Google Album and see more of these. This city is rich in history and there is so much to learn and discover. I'm hoping to expand this Album and give you hints about where you might be able to take your child on a virtual or real field trip! Stay tuned...

Under the Aborn Teachers tab there is now a "Message From Your Teacher" button. Once I figure it out, I would like to post messages here - both written and video - from you children's teachers.

Please continue to email and upload photos and comments. I am so happy to see how many of you are accessing this website and our LPS Aborn site. Again, please feel free to click on other schools to see what they have uploaded for resources.

On Wednesday, all principals have a Zoom conference to check in. On Thursday, we have a Zoom conference with the Superintendent. I am hoping to have some more concrete information to share with you then.

Today's blog was more about some nuts and bolts. Musings another time...

Stay well,

Mrs. Spiess

Way to go Hunter!!! Can't wait to see what your results are. Please continue to take pictures of your tulip would love to see what it looks like when it is in full bloom. We learned about the parts of a plant maybe once it is grown you can draw and label its parts, or take a picture of it and glue on labels. Miss you and hope to see you soon!!

Hunter is doing some science on this beautiful day by making a growth chart of a tulip that has just started to grow! He is making daily observations and taking measurements.

Don't forget to check our Additional Resources daily. Today I added a website created by Tracey Scherrer for families in need of support. Check it out.
